title : Trip to Mangga Dua
Today I headed to Mangga Dua, a place I wanted to visit, hearing about it as a “shopping” haven. There were three major malls in the area, ITC Mangga Dua, WTC Mangga Dua and Mangga Dua Square.
ITC would be visited another day, but WTC was a disappointment, the place doesn’t open on weekends and all there was, was a nice fresh-water fish mini-exhibition, showing very interesting domestic aquariums with attached CO2-delivery devices, but every other store was closed. CO2 delivery contraptions Slow-gas releasing valve. Curvy escalator Next was Mangga Dua Square, and it wasn’t very impressive either, a significant number of shops were closed and the mall was just another plain-simple mall, nothing of particular significance, but the items on sale were affordable, a mall somewhat in the region of ITC-style malls but a little more organized, less crowded and less rowdy. Whilst the upper floors were dead, the basement was a hub-bub bustling of activity! There was a reptile shop, loads of bags and shoes, a local-foodstuffs shop, DVD shops and of course - Carrefour. So whatcha lookin' at huh. |
